First there was Jensen as Priestly in a kilt goodness here. Now there's positive news about the strike here. Yippee!

I managed a fairly productive day, did a table plan and wrote over half of chapter 2 of This Still Life. I'm a happy bunny. All topped off re-discovering the wonderfulness of Croatoan. Yup, a good day.

I had a complete attack of the guilts after watching this weeks Heroes online earlier on (ep was amazing btw!) because of the WGA strike. My fangirl head is in such a strange place about it. But after just having a good old ponder in the bath I have to say I am 100% behind the strike because the writers are what make my favourite shows so amazing. This is the only way for them to make their statement and they need us fans to support them in it. This strike affects pretty much everyone on my f-list so I urge you all to go visit [profile] wga_supporters and especially check out this post by the mods. The strike isn't going to end any time soon so I'm rallying the troops as best I can :D  Being in the UK it's easy to forget where some of these shows start out and take them (and the writers) for granted. I'll be sitting here waving my WGA flags for as long as it takes. *waves flag*

For you Supernatural fans, [profile] supernatural_tv has had a lot of info over the past few days about how the strike is going to affect us in particular. This post is definitely worth checking out, [profile] hanncoll contacted Sera Gamble (who owns my soul btw) and got this in reply.

Also, for a whole load of background stuff about the contract issues there's this on the WGA East website.

On a completely unrelated note I got two completely AWESOME albums today. Set Yourself On Fire by Stars is really good, I've only listened to it once so far but I really enjoyed it. Anyone who likes The Shins or Broken Social Scene should like it. Check out Your Ex-Lover Is Dead , it's a great tune. Secondly, the Across The Universe soundtrack is just amazing, especially Joe Anderson's and Jim Sturgess' tracks. I haven't seen the film yet, mainly because it hasn't been on at my local fleapit but also because me and Mr Sylv are rubbish at actually getting round to seeing things. At the beginning of the year we made a resolution to see at least one film a month. Now we haven't been since September (Run Fatboy Run) and he's refusing to take me to see Stardust this weekend because he thinks it's more important to get wedding stuff done. He's turning into a girl! *giggles*
