December music mix

Felt like it was about time for another one of these. The theme of this month's mix is covers! Plus there's a couple of Christmas ones in there to keep the festive spirit up. Like this mix? Visit
toptentunes for many more!
I must just point out that whilst I was putting this post together we had a power cut for over an hour. Thank the lord for the 'restore from saved draft' option. The hour was spent with me wrapping Christmas gifts by candlelight, Mr S putting together a 'black out' themed iPod playlist and then both of us dancing around the lounge to Mystery Jets, waving bicycle lights in the air. 'Twas a sight to behold. I was just suggesting we go out to get chips for dinner and a nice big bottle of something warming and alcoholic to pass the time when the lights came back on. I was slightly disappointed. Do you think he'd notice if I went for the fuse box?

Outdoor Type - Frank Turner
(original by Lemonheads?)
I can't go away with you on a rock climbing weekend
What if something's on tv, and it's never shown again?
Just is well I'm not invited
I'm afraid of heights
I lied about being the outdoor type
Biggest Lie - Bright Eyes
(original by Elliott Smith)
I'm waiting for the train
Subway that only goes one way
The stupid thing that'll come to pull us apart
And make everybody late
Fairytale of new York - Stars
(original by The Pogues & Kirsty MacColl)
Headmaster Ritual - Radiohead (from the Thumbs Down webcast)
(original by The Smiths)
Please excuse me from gym
I've got this terrible cold coming on
Wuthering Heights - China Drum
(original by Kate Bush)
How could you leave me
When I needed to possess you?
I hated you. I loved you, too
Dancing Queen - Frank Turner
(original by ABBA)
We will become silhouettes - The Shins
(original by The Postal Service)
I've got a cupboard with cans of food
Filtered water and pictures of you
And I'm not coming out until this is all over
Enola Gay - The Faint
(original by OMD)
Enola gay, is mother proud of little boy today
Aha this kiss you give, its never ever gonna fade away
Buddy Holly - Biffy Clyro
(original by Weezer)
I dont care what they say about us anyway
I dont care about that
Just Like Christmas - Snow Patrol
(original by Low)
On our way from Stockholm it started to snow
And you said it was like Christmas
But you were wrong
It wasn't like Christmas at all
(original by Lemonheads?)
