Can I just say I am SO FED UP with all the Ruby hate? And the Gen hate? And the hate towards any other girl who has ever been in and/or will ever feature in Supernatural? FED UP, YOU HEAR?! I'm *this* close to making my SPN-free flist the only one I check now.

Oh God yes! The poor girl can't win and now it's just worsened since she may be committing the cardinal fangirl sin of dating Jared Padalecki? I prefer the previous Ruby actress, yes, but the vitriol for her is beyond ridiculous.

Yeah, and I thought it was bad before she dated Jared. Poor girl.

Not a Ruby fan, old or new but especially not of the new one. At least Katie Cassidy had a bit more charisma about herself to make Ruby at least semi-entertaining so I never outright hated the character. I don't outright hate the new one either but I'm still not keen.

But I am totally with you on hating the hatred that any girl in SPN seems to get from fans. I absolutely adored Bela in season 3 and yet everyone seemed to loathe her. What makes it really sad is when fans actually bash the actress, in Lauren Cohan's case, saying that her English accent was a fake. Hatred like that, I just feel, is just really uncalled for.

Oh lordy, don't get me started on Lauren's accent. Considering she went to school not very far from me... I found the accusations of her sounding "fake" extremely ridiculous!

I totally understand people not being a fan of Ruby, that's completely fine. But there's no need for all the bitching that goes around. Hurrah for us "sensible" SPN fans :D

I feel bad. I've been harsh on Gen's acting and while I don't think she's great I think I transferred my problems with the writing onto her. I like Gen, she's cool. But then she's dating Jared and that makes her hellspawn, apparently. The names she's been called are shocking.

I stay out of the SPN comms for the most part because of all this. Checked out a few threads lately and there was a lot of hate about, some of it directed at a character I really loved, so I'm just going to stay away. I enjoy the show more without all that drama.

Yeah, I don't need the drama. I've been unimpressed with certain areas of the show lately anyway so this just kind of tipped me over the edge.

Don't feel bad if that's really what you think. Yeah, Gen's not amazing but she's not half as awful as a lot of people have said. And I just don't like the name calling. Makes me ashamed to be a Supernatural fan sometimes :(

Awww, don't be mad. This has been going on for four season already, and I don't think it's about to stop. Yep, we're very protective of our boys. :P

Sorry but I am mad. I've had enough of it. Supernatural fans can be nasty for no reason and I don't want to be a part of it.

Oh, it's exhausting isn't it. I don't see much of it, because I mostly stick to fic and the occasional meta, but it still wearies me. There is just no call for some of the hateful fucking VENOM being spewed forth. And I say this as someone who has never much been a fan of Ruby (I'm kind of growing fond of GC though, bless her).
