That ep has kind of left me feeling a bit 'meh'. It wasn't a bad one but it wasn't exactly good either. I guess we were treated with all the silliness last week in BDABR so it was good to see them back to serious business this week. Although there was still a couple of funny moments, especially when Sam got caught breaking into the office. I love his face when he's done something silly! *squishes Sammy*
I think one of the things about this season is the underlying theme or main storyline that's going to cover the whole season is a bit different to what we've had before. Like S1 was Dean and Sam trying to find their Dad, and both S1 and S2 they were out to get the YED. Now that they're both gone, there's the war against all the demons. That storyling is inevitably going to get a lot more treatment in each episode, whereas before we had loads of different stories, different 'monsters' to fight against. So far this season we've had 3 episodes of demons and 1 of changelings. I'm already getting a bit sick of demons!
I'm never going to say "My God, that was a terrible episode" because I love this show to bits. It just felt a little like this was filler *shrug* Which is a shame for only episode 4. Having said that, we did get a couple of good bits of development. Was it Ruby who fixed the Colt? It seemed a bit of an easy way out having that working again. I was really intrigued by what she said to Sam at the end though. He's going to have to do things he doesn't like? Do we get more evil!Sammy?! YAY! But at the same time OH NOES! *chuckle*
So glad to see Ruby back! It's been really interesting to read other people's views on the new girls. For once there seems to be an even split between the two. I'm definitely a Ruby girl. I still have issues with Bela's accent. Even more so after finding out Lauren Cohen grew up over here. I swear I've never met anyone who talks like that before! I think it's great that the fans are actually liking one (or both!) of the girls though. Obviously it didn't work last time, with everyone united in their hatred for Jo. So it's good to see them getting a much better reception this time.
Reading this interview with Jensen, I think he'll be pretty pleased too. Although what's he saying, he gets to stare at someone other than Jared now?! We know he's just trying to trick us. He only has eyes for his overgrown puppy :D
Now I'm sat here waiting impatiently for some screencaps to arrive. I had an urge to make icons earlier on but now it's disappeared.
On a completely unrelated note, my laundry is ganging up on me again. How the hell do you fold fitted sheets?!
